Winter storm brings heavy snow to Colorado mountains through Thursday
The next winter weather system will bring prolonged snowfall to the mountains through Thursday, with heavier amounts expected for the Park Range, and lighter amounts expected for the Front Range mountains. Hazardous travel conditions are expected, especially along Rabbit Ears Pass where snowfall rates will be heavy at times.

- Where: Park Range, including Rabbit Ears Pass.
- When: 5 a.m. today to 11 a.m. MST Thursday.
- What: Snowfall amounts between 6 to 15 inches, with up to 20 inches at the highest elevations. Hazardous travel is expected.
Winter Weather Advisory
- Where: The Front Range mountains, including Rocky Mountain National Park, Medicine Bow Range and I-70 Mountain Corridor.
- When: 5 a.m. today to 11 a.m. MST Thursday.
- What: Snowfall amounts between 4 to 10 inches, with localized higher amounts at the highest elevations. Travel may be difficult at times.
