**Winter Park Express Expands Service Schedule and Lowers Fares**
The Colorado Department of Transportation has announced exciting enhancements to the Winter Park Express train service. Starting yesterday, January 9, 2025, the ski train now operates on an expanded regular schedule. The Amtrak Winter Park Express will run on Thursdays and Mondays through March 31, in addition to its traditional Friday, Saturday, and Sunday services.
The increased five-days-a-week service comes with a major update for travelers—ticket prices are now 40% cheaper compared to previous years, making the journey more accessible for those headed to Winter Park Resort and surrounding areas.
While onboard, passengers can relax and enjoy stunning views of the Rocky Mountains from the Sightseer Lounge car, where food and beverages, including hot chocolate, are available for purchase.
For more information about schedules and fares, visit [Colorado DOT's Winter Park Express page](https://www.codot.gov/news/2025/january/winter-park-express-more-frequent-service-reduced-fares). Don’t miss the chance to enjoy a convenient, scenic, and affordable ride to the slopes.
