The City of Chandler, Arizona, was represented at the 2024 Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards by Mayor Kevin Hartke, Vice Mayor OD Harris, Councilmember Christine Ellis, and Councilmember Jane Poston. Chandler received nominations in three categories: Public Service Announcement, Commercial, and Graphic Arts.

Courtney Randolph won a Rocky Mountain Emmy in Graphic Arts for her work on "Struthio." A behind-the-scenes video of Randolph discussing the visual and special effects used in "Struthio" can be viewed at https://bit.ly/4eFrFzI.

The city also recognized the contributions of the entire video production team for their creativity and dedication.

Eighth Graders Explore Healthcare Careers at Get Into the Guts

Eighth-graders from Heath Middle School, Franklin Middle School, and Tointon Academy of Pre-Engineering learned about healthcare careers at Get Into the Guts, a program at the Aims Community College Welcome Center that connected students with healthcare professionals and educators to explore medical career paths, supported by a dozen partners including Aims Community College, Banner Health, Centennial Area Health Education Center, UNC Nursing & Health Professions, The Academy of Natural Therapy, Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy, Good Day Pharmacy, UCHealth Garth Englund Blood Center, UCHealth Radiology, Maxim Healthcare, AIMS Allied Health Sciences and Peake Wellness Center.
