Join November EcoQuest at Denver Botanic Gardens!
Staff Report /
The Denver Botanic Gardens in Denver, Colorado, invites individuals to participate in their November EcoQuest. This initiative allows residents to document biodiversity using their smartphones. Participants are encouraged to explore the Denver-Boulder metro area and record the various naturalized junipers.
To contribute, individuals can photograph and observe these junipers and share their findings with the Denver EcoFlora Project on iNaturalist. This project focuses on two species of juniper native to Colorado: the Rocky Mountain juniper (Juniperus scopulorum) and the common juniper (Juniperus communis).
Once findings are uploaded, they will be utilized by researchers to study and protect these juniper species. More information about the project and how to get involved can be found at the provided links.
